Poetry At The Phoenix prepares for spring on March 5 with this months poets: Faith Arkorful and Jacob McArthur Mooney!


Faith Arkorful is the author of The Seventh Town of Ghosts, out on McClelland and Stewart in Spring 2024. Her work has appeared in GUTS Magazine, Peach MagazinePRISM InternationalHobart Pulp, and Canthius Magazine, among other places. In 2022 she was a semi-finalist in the 92NY’s Discovery Poetry Contest. She received an honourable mention at the 2020 National Magazine Awards and in 2019 was shortlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize. Faith was born in Toronto, where she still resides.

Jacob McArthur Mooney is responsible for four collections of poems, the most recent being Frank's Wing in 2023. His work has been shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Trillium Award in Poetry. His first novel, The Northern, is out next year from ECW.

We are blessed to be able to host poets of such immense talent at our lovely space at 3 Bartlett, we hope you’ll join us! 

Show starts at 7 PM, tickets are Pay What You Can at the door, no one turned away for lack of funds! All funds raised will be split between the poets and the house.
